Transparency
How these numbers are scored
Nothing on this feed is a rating anyone gave by feel. Here is exactly where each figure comes from, so you can check it against your own record.
Scalp Health & Moisture · 0–100
Both come from the Clinical Scan. An image of your scalp is scored against a fixed rubric with the same bands on every visit, so two scans are directly comparable. Higher is better for both.
Scalp Health bands
- 90–100 — radiant and balanced; no visible concerns
- 75–89 — healthy overall, one minor cosmetic finding
- 60–74 — generally fine, two to three visible concerns
- 40–59 — noticeable multi-factor issues
- 20–39 — significant cosmetic concerns across several areas
- 0–19 — major concerns, or the image was too unclear to read
Moisture bands
- 85–100 — supple, cuticle lies flat, natural sheen
- 70–84 — adequately hydrated, minor dry patches
- 50–69 — mild dryness, cuticle starting to raise
- 30–49 — visibly dry, raised cuticle, dullness
- 10–29 — severely dry, brittleness visible
- 0–9 — extremely dehydrated, or image too unclear
The first read is produced by an AI vision model, which must state which band it chose and why. Iman — a licensed California cosmetologist — then reviews that read and can correct any number before it is saved. Your original AI reading is kept alongside the final one, so a correction is always visible in your record rather than overwriting it. These are cosmetic wellness observations, never a medical diagnosis.
Change
The difference between the scan being shared and the client’s previous scan — calculated from the two saved records, not entered by hand. If there is no earlier scan to compare against, no Change figure is shown.
Circle points
Points sit on your profile and set your tier. They are earned three ways:
- 1 point per $1 spent on a service, credited by Iman once your appointment is complete
- +25 points when you share a scan result to this feed
- +50 points for a verified Google review
Tiers
- Member — from your first visit
- Gold — 500 points
- Platinum — 1,000 points
- Diamond — 2,500 points
One post per scan, so the same result cannot be shared twice for points. Every adjustment to your balance is made against your profile in the studio’s records — if a total ever looks wrong to you, ask Iman and she can show you the history.
Client posts are held for Iman’s review before they appear publicly, so the feed stays accurate. Reviewing does not change anyone’s numbers — those come from the scan record. See the full Circle programme →
